
Silver Award
Ready to help your community and earn one of the highest awards in Girl Scouting? Cadettes can team up with a small group of fellow Girl Scouts or work on their own. To earn the Silver Award, you will research an issue you care about, make a plan to address it, and then take action to improve your community.
Are in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade
Are a registered Girl Scout Cadette
Have completed a Cadette Journey
Complete a Cadette Leadership Journey (if you haven't already) to hone the skills needed to earn your Silver Award.
Learn about developing a quality project by completing the Silver Award Workshop with your troop or individually with an adult.
Identify the issue you care about. Choose your Silver Award take section project by exploring the needs of your community and seeing what sparks your interest.
Build a team of up to four of your fellow Girl Scout Cadettes (or decide to go solo) to complete your project.
Connect with a Silver Award Consultant or Manager to work with you on your project.
Submit your project proposal and gain project approval.
Put your project into motion.
