Mark your calendars because one weekend just isn't enough! This year, we are doubling the fun with two epic weekends of Girl Scout adventure in our beautiful Texas State Parks. Whether you join for one or double down on both, grab your friends, family, troop members, and a sense of wonder for weekends packed with self-guided hikes, stargazing, fishing, geocaching, watersports, and more. Let’s make some wild memories and explore the great outdoors together!
Given the high temperatures, before you head out, remember to be safe by bringing water, sunscreen, and a hat, and using the buddy system during your outdoor activities.
Tag us on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok to share your adventures with family and friends.
Activities will be led by Texas State Park staff, Girl Scout staff, and/or volunteers. All registered youth participants will receive a 2026 Girl Scouts Love State Parks patch at the time of their event.
More Girl Scouts Love State Parks events are coming soon. Check back for additional opportunities to explore, learn, and connect outdoors.
Girl Scouts Love State Parks and GSCTX Texas Explorer programs are made possible by the Community Outdoor Outreach Program grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. This initiative empowers Girl Scouts to develop advanced outdoor skills while exploring the incredible diversity of Texas State Parks, cultivating future outdoor leaders and stewards of our lands.
Girl Scouts Love State Parks is a partnership between Girl Scouts of the USA and the National Association of State Park Directors to invite Girl Scouts and their families to explore nature across all 50 states.
Signing up for a GSCTX event does not include park entry fees, required day-use reservations, or camping reservations. Be sure to plan ahead so your adventure goes off without a hitch!
Reserve your park entry by booking a “Save the Day” pass up to 30 days in advance—many Texas State Parks are popular and can fill up quickly, especially on weekends.
Learn more about reservations and review day pass options.
Girl Scouts, troops, and families can participate in Girl Scouts Love State Parks on their own at any state park September 12-13 and 19-20. Channel your inner explorer and DIY your very own adventure!
