Girl Scouts love to travel—from the field trips they take as Brownies to the global adventures they go on as teens. Through travel, Girl Scouts explore different places, learn about cultures that aren’t their own, and gain experience in navigating the unfamiliar.
How far will Girl Scouts take you? That’s up to you!
Travel three different ways: Travel with Girl Scouts from our council, through Girl Scouts of the USA Destinations, or with your troop. If you're a Girl Scout alum, see what adventures are available to you.
Girl Scouts within central Texas can adventure together on national and global trips, with or without other Girl Scouts from your troop. Adult trip leaders will be there to help along the way, but the journey is all yours—from the sights you'll see to the food you'll eat!
Girl Scouts who are 12 and older are eligible to go on a journey of a lifetime with Girl Scouts from across the country. These trips are hosted by Girl Scouts of the USA.
Girl Scout troops may travel as a group. From local day trips to coast-to-coast treks, many troops explore the country with Girl Scouts.
To identify what kind of trip best fits your group, check out the Girl Scouts Guide to U.S. Travel.
If you're a troop leader, please review the necessary steps and training through Volunteer Essentials for travel and destination. Providing age-appropriate travel experiences, starting with field trips or day trips for younger Girl Scouts and progressing to overnight (such as camping) and longer trips as Girl Scouts mature, provides a foundation for members to confidently and successfully participate in Council Trips and Destinations in their teen years.
