Cherisse Robinson
Chief Financial Officer
Nine years after Juliette Gordon Low began the Girl Scout movement in Savannah, Georgia in 1912, a troop of 16 members was formed in Austin, TX on June 14, 1921. Today, Girl Scouts of Central Texas (GSCTX) is led by the chief executive officer, council board of directors, staff, and volunteers across 46 counties. With the support, vision, and commitment of these role models, Girl Scouts have the opportunity to find—and become—leaders in their communities and the world.
Girl Scouts creates girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. With our volunteer partners, we provide the best leadership program, putting Girl Scouts front and center and keeping their best interests in mind. We work hard to make Girl Scouts the first choice for families who want to provide their children with opportunities to learn new skills, explore the outdoors, and advocate for their communities.
Along with the CEO, GSCTX’s executive team guides the organization in the planning, development, and execution of initiatives and resources to benefit a diverse group of Girl Scouts, volunteers, and staff across Central Texas.
Composed of members from the private to nonprofit sector, and from across Central Texas, the board of directors guides the Girl Scout Movement.
