Girl Scout Advisory Board Application

The Girl Scout Advisory Board (GAB) allows Girl Scout Cadettes through Ambassadors the opportunity to serve as an advisory team providing programmatic input to the Girl Scout Experience Team. By lending a voice to a movement that wants, needs, and values youth-led contributions, you will play a role in shaping the ongoing work of GSCTX.

Members of the Girl Scout Advisory Boardwill have the opportunity to make recommendations and share their ideas with the following GSCTX teams:

Camps
Programs

Interested in getting involved in other leadership opportunities in council?

If you are interested in your voice being heard by the GSCTX Board of Directors, consider applying to become a Council Delegate.
If you are interested in advancing your leadership skills or volunteer work, consider earning a Leadership Award.

Applicants must be:

Current Girl Scout entering grades 6-12 in the fall of 2026.
Able to communicate respectfully with peers of all backgrounds.
Communicate directly with GSCTX staff about the advisory board work, possible absences, etc.
Attend at least 2 of the 3 meetings.

Fall - September 10, 2026; 6:30 pm; topic: Camps
Winter - February 2027 (exact date TBD); topic: Community programs
Spring - May 2027 (exact date TBD); topic: Programs

Application Timeline and Process toggle arrow

June 1, 2026 – August 16, 2026	Application is open.
August 17, 2026 –August 20, 2026	Girl Scouts of Central Texas reviews applicants. Final board members are selected by a committee comprised of GSCTX staff.
August 21, 2026	GSCTX will send decision emails to all nominees.
September 10, 2026	Members of the Girl Scout Advisory Board 2027 meet for their first virtual meeting.

Application deadline is August 16, 2026.
