Girl Scouts has a robust brand and identity— and EVERYONE in Girl Scouting has a role in protecting our name, our image, and our brand. It is important for all volunteers to represent the Girl Scout brand consistently and appropriately. Marketing & Brand Resources
The Girl Scout brand is not just a logo—it is a complete design system that works together to create a distinctive look and feel.
Any publicly visible materials that use the Girl Scouts name, logo, font, or any other branding must follow Girl Scouts brand standards and be approved by GSCTX Marketing and Communications. Submit your design requests to communications@gsctx.org. Please allow at least two weeks between when you send in the materials and when you need final approval.

Visual Standards
Girl Scouts is a vibrant, living, and constantly evolving community—and so is our visual identity. Our brand is not just a logo—it is a complete design system composed of a number of elements that work together to create a distinctive look and feel for all our communications.
Below are guidelines for using our new servicemark, color palette, typography, and shapes.
Servicemark
The Girl Scouts of Central Texas servicemark is the final form of our logo, with all its elements. It should not be reassembled or reproportioned. Only GSUSA can create servicemarks/lockups.
It is imperative that we protect the integrity of our servicemark, which means never crowding it or jamming it in a corner. A minimum clear space of one Trefoil (see example below) is required between a council servicemark and any other element on a page.

Trefoil
The Trefoil may only be used in communications where the Girl Scouts of Central Texas brand has already been established through the servicemark or prominent copy.
The Trefoil should never be altered. The following is a list of things to never do with the Trefoil:
1. Do not use effects with the Trefoil.
2. Do not outline or alter the Trefoil.
3. Do not rotate the Trefoil.
4. Do not mask the Trefoil.
5. Do not place photography inside the Trefoil.
6. Do not use type within the Trefoil
7. Do not use type on the path of the Trefoil.
8. Do not use type as a pattern within the Trefoil.
9. Do not alter the proportions of the Trefoil.
Fonts
Girl Scouts, troops, and volunteers should use Palatino Linotype or Helvetica as a default for any resources they are creating.
Fonts can only be black or white.
Color Palette
This set of colors offers a broad range of options to achieve various moods and tones when designing for different audiences. The palette includes highest awards colors, grade level colors, and cookie colors—but these colors can now be used beyond those particular functions.
Girl Scout Green is our primary color and should be used prominently in external communications. Two new shades of green support Girl Scout Green for added variety. Always consider the role of green when creating communications.
Photography
Our approach to lifestyle photography is focused on capturing real and authentic moments and places they experience as Girl Scouts and as members. Our photography should always embody who Girl Scouts are and what they do.
You must have permission to include girls, volunteers, and guests in photos.
Photography Dos:
- Use only high-quality photos and graphics.
- Choose images representing the mission, Promise, and Law of Girl Scouts.
- When capturing shots of girls, get them in action trying new things.
- Send high-quality, full-size photos from your event through the Share Your Story form. By submitting images, you are giving Girl Scouts of Central Texas permission to use them in publicity and marketing materials and verify that all featured individuals consent.
Photography Don'ts:
- Overlay gradients on photos or convert to grayscale.
- Add filters to photos.
- Add vignettes to photos.
- Rotate photos unnaturally.
- Use low-resolution images.
Use of Artificial Intelligence
Do not use AI-generated imagery for social media images, flyers, and other visual media, especially when depicting girls as illustrations.
