Whether you’re discovering the wildlife in your own backyard, swimming in a lake for the first time at summer camp, or being a citizen scientist and observing bees in your neighborhood park, every outdoor adventure grows your “I’ve got this” attitude. And once you unlock that confidence, you’ll aim as high as the stars you see outside your cabin window.

EXPLORE MOREMiddle and high school-aged Girl Scouts can get more involved in outdoor activities with a special interest troop focused on sailing, SCUBA diving, or high adventure activities, and can join backpacking, rafting, and other outdoors-focused travel.
Ready to take your outdoor adventure to the next level? Two historic Girl Scout programs—Mariners and Trailblazers—provide challenging and transformative outdoor possibilities for Girl Scouts in grades 8-12 to grow their skills on water, on the trails, and in the backcountry. Troop leaders can take the first step and learn more about Mariners and Trailblazers troop designations.
All Girl Scouts are welcome, whether you already belong to a troop or you’re an independently registered Girl Scout.
