Bluebonnet Shores Girl Scout Camp

Girl Scouts of Central Texas offers seven weeks of overnight camp, each with its own theme that shapes the activities and adventures campers experience. While every session includes age-appropriate programming designed for different grade levels, all campers enjoy favorite camp traditions like swimming, archery, arts and crafts, campfires, and more.

Whether you're a first-time camper or an experienced adventurer, an outdoor enthusiast or a creative artist, you'll find the perfect camp experience at Bluebonnet Shores. Come swim in the sparkling pool with an in-water climbing wall, enjoy water sports on the lake, challenge yourself on the climbing wall, and so much more.

Overnight sessions range from three to 14 days, giving Girl Scouts plenty of opportunities to explore new interests, build confidence, make lasting friendships, and create unforgettable summer memories.

Girl Scout leadership programs combine exciting summer camp activities with experiential leadership training, resulting in a unique, fun, and high-quality adventure for Girl Scouts who dream big.

Girl Scout Leadership Programs:

Are designed based on the ages and development of the campers.
Will include similar foundational skills week-over-week.
Can be attended multiple times and at multiple locations.

Each level of leadership program teaches new skills that are intended to be taken back after camp and applied at the troop, service unit, or day camp level.

Important Reminders:

Do not sign up for progressive levels of leadership programs within the same summer.

Previous leadership experience can be substituted for participation in a leadership program level. This is accepted on a case-by-case basis. Contact us with questions regarding the level of leadership training that’s right for your camper.

A completed Leadership Application is required for all campers participating in the leadership program. Applications will be emailed following registration.

Check-In

Arrival Details:

Check-in runs from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Sundays.
Check-in is implemented in a drive-thru style process.
All individuals will remain inside the vehicle.
- Please stop for restroom breaks before arriving at camp.
Only campers will be exiting the vehicle.
Bring all required paperwork, printed, ready to turn in.
You will drive through stations to turn paperwork in.
Additional staff is available to help your camper get settled in.

To streamline the wait time, GSCTX implements a staggered check-in time for overnight camps:

Brownies: 10 – 10:30 a.m.
Juniors: 10:30 – 11 a.m.
Cadette, Senior, and Ambassadors: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

If you are dropping off campers in multiple levels, please select the arrival time that works best for you.

Check-Out

Departure Details:

Check-out runs from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Fridays for one or two-week campers.
Campers will only be released to individuals listed on the Camper Release Form.
- A government-issued photo ID is required for an individual picking up a camper, including caregivers.

If your camper will be arriving late or being picked up early, you must notify the camp's manager as soon as possible.

Camp T-Shirts

Enhance your camper’s summer camp experience when you order a limited edition Girl Scouts of Central Texas summer camp t-shirt.

Trading Post

Our on-site camp shop, open one day each week during camp. Campers can browse and purchase camp accessories, camping gear like flashlights and water bottles, jewelry, stuffed animals, and other fun mementos. Most items range in price from $1 to $20.

Trading Post Bucks: To make shopping easy and cash-free, we offer Trading Post Bucks—pre-purchased dollar amounts your camper will use during their session. Trading Post Bucks can be purchased online during registration or in person at camp check-in, in amounts ranging from $10 to $50. Cash will not be accepted.

Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable: Trading Post Bucks are non-refundable and non-transferable. Trading Post Bucks can only be used at the Trading Post during your camper's current summer session. If your camper is attending multiple sessions, Bucks must be purchased separately for each session.

Optional Activity: Shopping at the Trading Post is optional and provides campers an opportunity to practice independence, learn basic budgeting skills, and commemorate their camp experience.

Extended Care toggle arrow

Need flexibility? Extended care includes lunch and keeps your camper engaged until 3 p.m. on Friday. If you require a late pick up from overnight camp you must register for extended care separately from your camp registration.
