All adults on-site must be registered Girl Scout members with a completed background check and Youth Protection Training.

90 Days Prior to Reservation Date toggle arrow

90 Days Prior to Reservation Date

Begin finalizing all lodging reservations. Any changes or cancellations to your lodging reservations must be made 60 days prior to your campout in order to receive a refund, minus deposits paid. Any cancellations recieved after the 60 day deadline will not receive a refund.

Male-Identifying Adult Member Lodging

Male-identifying adult members must reserve separate lodging and restroom facilities. Shared air-conditioned units available at low per-bed cost. Free options no longer available. No exceptions will be made.

All lodging reservations must be finalized and balances paid. Any lodging cancellations made after this date will not receive a refund. Begin finalizing activity and meal passes. Changes or cancellations to activity and meal passes must be received prior to 30 days before your campout to be eligible for a refund, minus deposits paid. This includes reducing the number of activity passes reserved for an activity.

An Activity and Travel Application should be submitted no later than 30 days prior to the reservation date.

Meals at Camp

Meals on Your Own toggle arrow

Your group decides beforehand to plan and bring your own meals and materials needed to cook over the fire, camp grill, or propane stove.

A registered member must have the correct GSCTX certification to cook over a campfire. No cooking equipment or supplies are provided. Only non-liquid fire starters are allowed. Lighter fluid is not permitted.

Make your reservation and we'll confirm availability based on other group bookings at least 30 days before your campout. If no other groups have purchased passes, we'll cancel and fully refund your meal pass reservation.

More Than Available Passes

Contact the camp manager at least six weeks prior to your campout to request additional meal passes.

Special Diets

With advanced notice, gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian diets can be accommodated. You will select the number of special meals needed while making your meal pass reservation. The camp manager will confirm the number of special meals requested at least two weeks prior to your reservation.

Basic Archery	Brownies and older	16	$10	Learn archery basics. Designed for beginner youth archers who just want to have fun. Extended Archery offers a longer shooting time and more in-depth instruction.
Crafts	Daisies and older	15-20	$8	Create a fun craft or SWAPS while getting into the spirit of camp. The craft activity will vary weekly.
Hatchet Throwing	Cadettes and older	16	$10	A medieval sport where participants throw hatchets at wooden targets. Practice finding the right rotation to make the hatchet stick. Safety equipment is provided. Bluebonnet Shores Girl Scout Camp only.
Slingshots	Daisy and older	16	$10	Take aim with slingshots at a multitude of designated targets. Safety equipment is provided. Bluebonnet Shores Girl Scout Camp only.
Outdoor Skills	Daisies and older	15-20	$8	Hone your outdoor skills at camp. Each weekend features one of two skill options, Orienteering or Fire Skills. Bluebonnet Shores Girl Scout Camp Only.
STEM Activity	Daisies and older	15-20	$8	Explore STEM in the outdoors through different challenges. Each weekend features one of two options, Geode Smashing, or Ice Cream in a Bag. Camp Texlake only.
Swimming	Daisies and older	25	$8	Enjoy our Junior-Olympic sized swimming pool during free swim. Unheated pool with lifeguards. Swim assessments will be offered on Saturdays from 9-9:50 a.m.

Each session is 50-minutes.

Standard Activities are offered six times on Saturday: 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.

Plan to arrive a few minutes early to ensure everyone gets the full experience. Groups arriving late will not get additional time.

Proper clothing and footwear are required to participate in activities.

We reserve the right to stop any activity session at any time if participants are not following instructions or are being unsafe in any way.

Kayaking	Brownies and older	14-20	$25	Paddle out on our beautiful lakes. Instruction and equipment are provided. Availability depends on water levels.
Challenge Course	Daisies and older	16	$12	A series of games and challenges focusing on teamwork using low ropes elements. Waiver required.
Climbing Wall	Juniors and older	16	$20	Climb to new heights on our multi-level climbing towers with a helmet and harness. We have something for every level climber. Waiver required.
Zip Line	Juniors and older	16	$25	Enjoy the view from the top when you climb three stores high before launching off the platform and through the air. 250 lb weight limit. Bluebonnet Shores Girl Scout Camp Only. Waiver required.
High Ropes to Zip Line	Juniors and older	16	$40	Climb with your friends on our team course with different obstacles, multiple pathways and a smooth zip line finish. 250 lb weight limit. Camp Texlake only; two-hour session. Waiver required.

The High Ropes to Zip Line session is two hours. All other sessions are 80-minutes

Do-It-Yourself Activities toggle arrow

Fill time between staffed activities, save money, or plan a relaxing weekend. Bring supplies or borrow ours from the camp manager. You may indicate interest in these activities during the reservation process.

Outdoor Adventures:

Hiking: Nature trails, sound hikes, or enjoy walking trails toward the lake, between activity sites, or surrounded by nature.

Scavenger Hunts: Take a tour to find all the letters of the alphabet, colors of the rainbow, or create your own.

Nature ID: Use iNaturalist or Seek apps to identify plants and bugs around camp.

Orienteering: Navigate the course with our compasses or bring your own.

Letterboxing/Geocaching: Treasure hunting with navigation and art. Borrow the clues to hidden boxes and see if you can find the treasures around camp.

Recreation and Learning:

Sports: Borrow equipment to play gaga ball, soccer, and volleyball.

Knots: Practice with knot boards.

Crafts: You bring the supplies for friendship bracelets, nature crafts, and more.

Badges: Earn Girl Scout outdoor badges, featured patches, Girl Scouts Loves the Outdoors, or HEB Health and Wellness patches.

Stargazing: Rent telescopes or borrow our star charts.

A-la-carte activity passes offer flexible scheduling based on your time and budget with smaller, safer group sizes.

Most activities run as a 50-minute session with 10-minute transitions.

Special activities run as an 80-minute session with 10-minute transitions.

Make sure to check start and end times for all activities when planning your day’s schedule.

High ropes course sessions are two hours and often runs overtime. It is recommended to avoid scheduling sessions immediately after.

Check selected camp activity schedules for weekend availability prior to starting your reservation.

Avoid rushing; allow rest time between activities and check session lengths to prevent double-booking.

Policies

Refunds will only be given for weather or safety cancellations by the camp manager.

Sessions may be stopped for unsafe behavior. No refunds will be given.

Arrive on time, late arrivals receive no additional time.

Activities are designed with youth in mind. Adults are welcome to participate but youth will be given priority.

Some activities have weight restrictions.

Requirements

Closed-toe, sturdy shoes are required at all times.

Sneakers or boots are required for horses.

Appropriate clothing must be worn for all activities.

Members must follow all safety instructions given.
