For the second consecutive year, Girl Scouts of Central Texas is continuing its commitment to an improved summer camp registration process through our randomized lottery system. Building on last year's successful implementation, this approach maintains our goal of providing a more innovative and equitable session selection process that removes the pressure of time-specific registration. The lottery system allows us to place your camper in the best session available based on your requested criteria.
Beginning January 7, 2025, Girl Scouts will have eight days to complete the summer camp lottery registration form to submit up to five camp session options for each camper. Meaning, you’re more likely to get one of your top choices. During the 2024 lottery registration, 96 percent of Girl Scouts got their first or second choice.
Girl Scouts will be notified on January 23, 2025, of their registered or waitlisted session. Beginning February 4, 2025, registration for all remaining camp sessions will open to all Girl Scouts.
Campers entering the lottery will be able to identify one buddy. The buddy selection must be mutual—both campers must choose the same session(s) and request each other. This is also available for up to three siblings. All campers must fill out their own lottery registration form.
Girl Scouts of Central Texas is enhancing your summer camp planning experience by transitioning from our traditional PDF camp guide to a new interactive online format. This shift from a static, downloadable document to a dynamic, user-friendly website makes discovering the perfect camp experience easier than ever. Our new digital platform offers real-time updates, improved search capabilities, and features that allow caregivers and campers to explore and engage with camp information in ways that weren't possible before.
This modernized approach ensures you'll always have access to the most current program details, dates, and availability at your fingertips.
