
Girl Scouts of Central Texas is improving the summer camp registration process by introducing a more innovative and equitable session selection process designed to remove the pressure of time-specific registration. The new process features a randomized lottery system that will allow us to place your camper in the best session available based on your requested criteria.
Beginning January 11, 2024, Girl Scouts will have 10 days to complete the summer camp lottery registration form to submit up to five camp sessions options for each camper. Meaning, you’re more likely than ever before to get one of your top choices. Girl Scouts will be notified by the end of January of their registered or waitlisted session.
Campers entering the lottery will be able to identify one buddy. The buddy selection must be mutual—both campers must register for the same program and request each other. This is also available for up to three siblings. All campers must fill out their own lottery registration form.
Beginning February 12, 2024, registration for all remaining camp sessions will open. Girl Scouts will be limited to register for one camp registration, either registered or waitlisted, until March 4, 2024.
The 2024 Summer Camp guide will be available by December to help you select your preferred sessions.
The summer camp lottery system is new to GSCTX but not new for camps around the country. This process has been beneficial to members across Girl Scout councils and other camps for years. We’re excited to extend this stress-free process to you!
