You spoke, and we listened. You told us we should simplify forms and processes and that managing the cookie program is too complicated. Beginning Membership Year 2025 (October 1, 2024), we’re retiring the Super Troop and Super Service Unit programs, which were leveraged primarily to earn Super Troop and Super Service Unit cookie bonuses. Beginning with the 2025 cookie program, all troops will earn a guaranteed $.85 per package in base proceeds, an increase of $.05 per package over 2024 base proceeds. Troops will maintain the opportunity to earn an extra $.25 per package cookie bonus and service units will maintain the opportunity to earn $.05 per package by meeting the requirements.

The Super Troop and Super Service Unit programs were launched to incentivize behaviors and activities that increase youth retention in the Girl Scout program. Over the years, we heard from volunteers that access to achieving super award requirements was not equitable across the council, leading the program to increase in complexity, while some still identified barriers. To reduce complexity and increase equity, we are retiring the Super Troop and Super Service Unit programs, while increasing base cookie program proceeds for all troops. The Super Girl Scout award will continue to be offered for youth members.
