Girl Scouts of Central Texas awards multiple scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are strongly driven, self-motivated, and high achieving Girl Scout members. This year, we are opening our scholarship applications earlier to allow applicants more time to complete the scholarship application process. The 2024 Scholarship Application opens November 1, 2023, and close on February 5, 2024.

Begining January 2, 2024, Girl Scouts of Central Texas will no longer be a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award.
As a Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador, you are eligible to earn a Community Service Bar when you volunteer at least 20 hours with a community organization. You may earn up to three Community Service Bars, one per eligible Girl Scout level. Read the criteria for community service bars in The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting handbook.

Young people may register to earn the Congressional Award when they turn 13 1/2 years old and must complete their activities by their 24th birthday. Participants earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold Congressional Award Certificates and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Congressional Award Medals depending on their level of engagement. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas: Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. These areas align perfectly with the amazing things you are doing with Girl Scouts. Get started today!
Juniors can earn this award by making and completing a plan to guide Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies, or bridging Brownies on one of their Journeys. Requirements for earning this award can be found in the Junior Handbook.
Cadettes can earn a Leader in Action award by assisting a Brownie group on any of their National Leadership Journeys.

Recognizes Girl Scouts for their community service efforts over a 12-month period. It is a Presidential honor, initiated by President Bush in 2003, to recognize the valuable contributions of volunteers across the nation that serve others through their volunteer activities. To have GSCTX order your award, please fill out the President's Volunteer Service Award form. Troops and service units are welcome to also order awards directly from the Presidential Volunteer Service Award website.

Cadette Program Aide Award
As a program aide, Girl Scout Cadettes work directly with younger Girl Scouts to develop their leadership skills under the supervision of an adult.
Volunteer in Training Award
This award is for Girl Scouts who would like to mentor a Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, Junior, or Cadette group outside of the camp experience.
