FREE front-row seats to world-class science! Join UT Professor of Computer Science Kristen Grauman to explore advanced research on AI understanding of human skills. Learn about her work on Ego-Exo4D, a simultaneous video capture of both first-person "egocentric" views, from a participant's wearable camera, as well as multiple "exocentric" views, from cameras surrounding the participant. While the egocentric perspective reveals what the participant sees and hears, the exocentric views reveal the surrounding scene and the context. Together, these perspectives give AI robots and models a new window into complex human skill.

Hot Science - Cool Talks provides a front-row seat to world-class research. Presented by the Environmental Science Institute (ESI) this nationally recognized series allows leading researchers from The University of Texas and other prominent universities to share their passion for science, technology, engineering, and math with the general public. Girl Scouts of Central Texas and University of Texas are working together to pre-register 30 Girl Scouts and adults for each "Hot Science" event.

Supervision Level: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to REGISTER and remain with their youth participants. Girl Scout volunteers bringing their troop must follow all Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Badge/Patch: AI Explorer fun patch will be given out at the event.
Required paperwork: Please complete the following sections of the Council Event Health and Permission Forms, print, and bring with you to the event: Section A.
