Skate into STEM with us this summer at Pins and Wheels at Playland!
Learn about the science of motion through hands-on STEM and physical
activities that will get your heart pumping and your brain rolling!
The STEM "land" lesson will cover Newton's Three Laws of
Motion: inertia, force and friction inspecting the roller-skate
itself. Then strap on those skates as you learn some basic skating
tips, and have time to practice skating around the rink. Enjoy fun
games like Hokey Pokey and Limbo while you skate! It is suggested that
those who are skating bring their own safety gear, including helmet
and wrist guards for this activity. Skatemates will be provided for
unlimited use during the skating portion of the program for guests
under 5' tall. At the end of the session, make sure to pick up your
H-E-B Health & Wellness patch sponsored by the H-E-B Tournament of
Champions Charitable Trust.
Adults that wish to skate will need
to pick that option at registration.
Adults not skating need to
register for the event. Only individuals who are registered for the
event may enter the venue.
