Celebrate Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend by stepping back in
time at the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm in LBJ State Park. What
was living on a Central Texas farm like just over 100 years ago? Find
out how they grew food, cared for animals, and cooked meals on a wood
burning stove. Head to the heirloom cotton patch to see it picked and
spun into yarn. Then, play games from that era.
All registered
youth receive the Girl Scouts Love State Parks patch. Juniors will
receive the Playing the Past badge and instructions on how to easily
complete it.
