Girl Scouts of Central Texas (GSCTX) today announced new C-suite hire, Phlice Gray, has joined the organization’s talented leadership team in the role of Chief Development Officer. Phlice brings decades of experiences in community building, executive leadership, and diverse nonprofit roles that will be impactful to the mission and work of Girl Scouts of Central Texas.
"I am thrilled to welcome Phlice Gray to the Girl Scouts of Central Texas team," says Girl Scouts of Central Texas CEO Paula Bookidis. "Phlice is a results-driven executive with a track record of building mutually beneficial strategic community relationships. In collaboration with our colleagues, volunteers, and partners, Phlice will continue to expand and strengthen the work we do to empower girls in our community."
As CDO, Phlice will focus on deepening the culture of philanthropy at Girl Scouts of Central Texas by leading a revenue-generating community with diverse funding streams including individual and alumni engagement, philanthropic giving, corporate partnerships, and foundation and government grants.
Phlice most recently served as vice president of corporate partnerships for Points of Light. Points of Light is the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service, with a mission to inspire, equip, and mobilize people to take action that changes the world. Committed to civic engagement, Phlice is a long-time member of The Junior Leage (Atlanta and Austin chapters), as well as serving in leadership roles with United Way, and Impact Austin. With almost 15 years of experience driving nonprofit initiatives that serve youth, Phlice is deeply familiar with the significant challenges and unique opportunities facing today’s girls and has promoted solutions and raised funds to address them.
“Growing up in a military family, each time we moved to a new base, I would immediately join the closest Girl Scout troop,“ said Phlice. “Being a Girl Scout provided me with a familiar community, no matter where we were living around the world. Today, I remain focused on making the world a better place, which is one of the many skills we build in Girl Scouts. I’m honored to support the important work ahead at Girl Scouts of Central Texas, as we provide more opportunities for young women to reach new heights.”
