Girl Scouts are changemakers, helpers, and leaders. The 2026 Caring for My Community patch celebrates the spirit of service and empowers Girl Scouts to take meaningful action in their communities.
Whether you're cleaning up a park, helping a neighbor, or organizing a donation drive, every act of kindness counts. This council-wide patch encourages Girl Scouts of all ages to identify a need, take initiative, and make the world a better place—right here in Central Texas.
Explore your community, school, or neighborhood. Ask yourself, "How can we help here?" Discuss with your troop, choose a project that inspires you, and take action. Projects can be any size—what matters most is the heart behind the effort.
SUBMIT YOUR PROJECTAll projects must start on or after January 1, 2026. You will need to keep track of your efforts and submit a report (as a troop or as an individual) with a photo of your hard work at the end of the project to earn this fun patch!
