Girl Scouts can:
- Design and build a robot
- Learn how to code
- Delve into animal ecosystems
- Explore outer space
- Create experiments in electricity, physics, and more!
Girls are natural-born scientists! They look at the world around them with inquisitive eyes, experiment and push boundaries, and learn as they go.
By inspiring girls to discover more of what they really care about, the Mobile STEM Experience Center is delivering STEM-focused programs in select areas in Central Texas. Volunteers benefit from STEM programming led by expert staff and girls explore a wide range of hands-on activities—from natural sciences to robotics and coding to astronomy.
Girl Scouts of Central Texas aims to break geographic opportunity barriers and deliver STEM programs to girls who live in areas that are proven to have fewer hands-on STEM opportunities. The mobile program allows Girl Scouts to bring STEM experiences directly to girls and their communities.
Troop leaders and volunteers may reserve the Mobile STEM Experience Center for free to support STEM badge programs in your troop schedule. Girl Scout staff will lead the program delivery and provide everything your girls need, including equipment and supplies.
Mobile STEM programs are available in the Concho Valley; Brownwood area; Waco, Temple, Killeen area, and Bryan/College Station.
Girls are fast-forwarding into the future—thanks to STEM. We introduce Girl Scouts of every age to STEM to help them see how they can actually improve the world. In partnership with local businesses and corporate sponsors, Girl Scouts of Central Texas offers girls exciting opportunities to learn while having fun applying STEM skills. Be part of our empowering initiative to deliver more STEM programs to girls.
