The University of Texas Department of Mathematics is bringing back Math Fun Day. Join us for hands-on math activities with UT Austin students and faculty. See the beauty, joy, and fun of mathematics!
Participants explore how math is all around us and earn their program-level Math in Nature badge. Sessions will be led by math professionals and older Girl Scouts. See where math can take you!
Schedule of Events:
1:00-1:15 Registration & Patrol Formation
1:00-1:30 Math Games
1:30-1:35 Brief Welcome Address
1:40-3:20 Math Wide Games
3:20-3:30 Closing Friendship Circle
Location: University of Texas at Austin, Austin
Supervision level: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to remain with their youth participants. Girl Scout volunteers bringing their troop must follow all Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Badge/Patch: Math in Nature Badge will be given out at the event.
Required paperwork: Please complete the following sections of the Council Event Health and Permission Forms, print, and bring with you to the event: Section A
