The Amazing Acro-Cats, featured in the Netflix
series Cat People, are coming to Austin! This troupe of trained house
cats, all former orphans, rescues, and strays, give a one-of-a-kind,
90-minute purrformance that includes cats riding skateboards, jumping
through hoops, ringing bells, balancing on balls, and performing other
feats of agility and acrobatics. The show finale is the only all-cat
band in the world: Tuna and the Rock Cats! The Rock Cats play guitar,
drums, and piano, and they've been joined by the Jazz Cats on
saxophone, trumpet, and clarinet. The Acro-Cats tour to support Rock
Cats Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Girl Scout VIP
experience includes a meet-and-greet with the cats after the 2-hour
show plus a set of cat ears courtesy of a Rock Cats Rescue board
member.
This event is for ages 5+. It takes place in the Rollins
Studio Theatre at the Long Center.
Supervision level: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to REGISTER, PAY, and remain with their youth participants. Girl Scout volunteers bringing their troop must follow all Safety Activity Checkpoints.
