Save the date for Sasquatch: Troop Outdoor Weekend 2026 at Camp
Texlake!
Bring your troop, including leaders, out to camp for a
fun-filled weekend of outdoor skill building and Girl Scout
sisterhood. Host a booth at the Outdoor Skills Expo and teach other
Girl Scouts your favorite outdoor skill. Participate in geocaching,
archery, and other camp activities. Try your hand at Dutch oven
cooking and compete for the Dutch Oven Cookoff trophy! To finish out
the weekend, troops will be able to split into teams of Juniors and
CSAs to compete in a skill-building adventure race around camp.
Registration opens October 1, 2025
Location: Camp Texlake, Spicewood
Supervision level: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. However, please only register safety wise adults for the event to allow enough spots for youth to participate. Only registered participants and adults will be allowed at the event. Adults are required to REGISTER, PAY, and remain with their Girl Scouts. As required by Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints, adults attending this event are responsible for their troop or individual Girl Scout's behavior. All adults participating with a troop or registered to volunteer at the event are required to have a current/eligible background check (CBC), to be a registered Girl Scout adult volunteer, and to have complete GSCTX youth protection training.
Badge/Patch: Fun patch will be given out at the event.
Required paperwork: Please complete the following sections of the Council Event Health and Permission Forms, print, and bring with you to the event: Sections A, B, and C
