Bring your troop, including leaders, out to camp for a fun-filled weekend of outdoor skill building and Girl Scout sisterhood. Host a booth at the Outdoor Skills Expo and teach other Girl Scouts your favorite outdoor skill. Try your hand at Dutch oven cooking and compete for the Dutch Oven Cookoff trophy! To finish out the weekend, troops will be able to split into teams of Juniors and CSAs to compete in a skill-building adventure race around camp. Independently Registered Girls (IRGs) will be matched with other Girl Scouts to form a team.

Outdoor Skills Expo: The outdoor expo is like a "science fair" for outdoor skills and knowledge! It is a booth area where troops will present an outdoor topic or skill. Each booth should include an informational display and an interactive activity for other Girl Scouts to try.
Troops should choose an Outdoor Skills Expo topic in the following categories: outdoor skills, outdoor art, outdoor cooking, or nature science. Past examples include building emergency shelters, how long trash takes to break down when left outside, cording, soap whittling, navigation skills, water conservation, stick cooking, fire building, etc. The booth can be as in depth as your troop chooses to make it. During the expo, troop members will take turns running their own booth so everyone has a chance to explore all the different booths and learn from fellow Girl Scouts!
Dutch Oven Cookoff: All troops will participate in the Dutch Oven Cookoff Saturday afternoon; the meal created by a troop will be that troop's dinner. Plan accordingly to make enough food to feed your entire troop and to provide one portion to the cookoff judges. Dinner will not be provided on Saturday night. Refrigeration will be available for perishable ingredients.
Categories for the Dutch Oven Cookoff are: Best Dessert, Best Presentation, Best Flavor, and Most Creative.
Adventure Race: To finish out the weekend, troops will split into teams to compete in a fast-paced and exciting skill-building adventure race around camp. Teams will explore camp to complete challenges. They'll complete challenges and other skills from Outdoor Skills Expo.
The first team to complete the challenges will win bragging rights! Awards will be presented to the first, second and third teams and will be by race teams, not troops.
Meals Provided: Saturday breakfast, Saturday lunch, Sunday breakfast. Troops will make their own Saturday night meals for the Dutch Oven Cookoff. Cake will be served midday Sunday at the conclusion of the adventure race and before troops leave camp. Troop leaders, please confirm accuracy of all Girl Scouts' dietary restrictions or needs with parents and caregivers.
