Calling all Texas Girl Scout Councils! Join us on the Texas State
Capitol Lawn for a statewide, collaborative celebration of Girl Scout
spirit, sisterhood, and song. Our vision is to bring Girl Scouts from
every corner of the state together in harmony, to sing traditional
Girl Scout songs, trade SWAPS, and showcase the unique traditions and
strengths of each council through informational booths,
demonstrations, and activities.
Event Highlights:
1. Statewide Songfest on the Capitol Lawn - A joyful, unifying
celebration of Girl Scout heritage through songs we all know and love.
Concludes with the biggest Texas Girl Scout Friendship Circle in front
of the Capitol steps!
2. Council Showcase Booths - Each council
will have the opportunity to host a booth highlighting local programs,
traditions, and activities. This is a great platform to inspire and
share ideas across council lines.
3. SWAPS Exchange - Bring
SWAPS to trade with your sister scouts from across Texas - a treasured
tradition of friendship and fun!
4. Participation fee includes a
professionally printed Songfest songbook with all the Girl Scout songs
from the day and a custom-designed commemorative fun patch.
5. Additional Add-Ons and Benefits - Discounted hotel blocks will be
secured for out of town participants. Optional "Explore Austin
Kits" will be available for purchase, featuring our Explore
Austin patch, official Songfest T-shirt and curated local
goodies.
This event offers a meaningful opportunity to celebrate
our shared mission, strengthen inter-council relationships, and create
lifelong memories for our girls. Can't wait to sing with you!
Location: Texas State Capitol, Austin
Supervision level: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to REGISTER, PAY, and remain with their youth participants. Girl Scout volunteers bringing their troop must follow all Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Badge/Patch: Fun patch will be given out at the event.
