Join astronomer Dr. Keith Hawkins as he takes us on a cosmic journey through the Milky Way. Using the light from thousands of stars, he decodes their chemical fingerprints and motions to uncover the story of how our galaxy formed, evolved, and grew into the spiral we see today.
Arrive early and explore Cool Activities from 5:30 - 6:40! Local organizations will share exciting hands-on activities related to the talk!
Hot Science - Cool Talks provides a front-row seat to world-class research. Girl Scouts of Central Texas and University of Texas are working together to pre-register 30 Girl Scouts and adults for each "Hot Science" event.
