Celebrate Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead by marching in
Mexic-Arte Museum's Annual Viva La Vida parade in downtown Austin.
Come with your face painted and dressed up to walk with other Girl
Scouts in the parade.

Plan on meeting at the staging area at 11 a.m. Exact location will be
emailed to registered attendees. The parade starts at noon. Parade
will last until 1 p.m. and cover 0.75 miles along 6th Street then down
Congress Avenue, ending at the festival site. Participants are not
allowed to throw candy, toys, or any other materials to parade
viewers.
After the parade, you are welcome to stay to enjoy the
festival until 6 p.m. Enjoy the Education Pavilion with hands-on art
activities, traditional foods, local artists, and retail booths, a
low-rider exhibition, and live performances throughout the day.
This registration is only for participating in the parade as a Girl
Scout in a butterfly costume. Watching parade and attending festival
does not require registration.

You will not hold Mexic-Arte Museum

individuals in your troop, may be used for promotional purposes.
Location: Downtown Austin
Supervision level: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to REGISTER and remain with their youth participants. Girl Scout volunteers bringing their troop must follow all Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Badge/Patch: Fun patch will be given out at the event.
