Join us and reGenerations, an oral history project connecting
children and their older adult friend/family members through a virtual
storytelling workshop.
The program guides Brownie Girl Scouts
through the process of interviewing an older adult who inspires them
and turning that conversation into a short written narrative. They
will practice real-world skills like asking thoughtful questions,
listening closely, and writing with voice to capture stories across
three generations: the interviewees life experiences, the people who
impacted them, and the lessons they want to leave behind.
At its
core, reGenerations is about fostering compassion and bridging
generational divides. The program helps Brownies connect with older
adults while building valuable storytelling and communication skills.
Its a fun, creative project that aligns well with Girl Scout values of
leadership, reflection and service.
By the end of the workshop,
not only will Brownies earn their My Family Story Badge, they will
have created a polished capsule of history and perspective they can
share with family, friends, and their wider community. Perfectly timed
for your upcoming Thanksgiving gathering! Learn more at: https://www.our-regenerations.org
