NOTE: This is a two part course and you must attend both parts to earn the award. Only one registration is required.
Earn the newly updated Teaching Leadership Award to open the door to
the Highest Awards. Once you earn your level's award, you have
fulfilled the prerequisite to be ready to start your Bronze, Silver,
or Gold Award.
- Juniors complete Teaching Leadership 1 and 2 to
earn their Junior Aide award.
- Cadettes complete Teaching
Leadership 1, 2, and 3 to earn their Program Aide award.

Seniors and Ambassadors complete Teaching Leadership 1, 2, 3, and 4 to
earn their Volunteer-in-Training award.
Be a part of the
inaugural Teaching Leadership cohort! This series covers Teaching
Leadership 1 and 2. Council will offer Teaching Leadership 3 and 4 in
the spring for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors to finish earning
their leadership award.
Saturday, December 6 from 10 a.m. - 3:30
p.m. is Teaching Leadership 1. Start with the basics of mentoring
younger Girl Scouts. Then, get hands-on experience with Daisies and
Brownies at an hour-long event. Afterwards, reflect on what you've
learned so far and plan activities for the December 12 event. Please
bring lunch and a snack. This day is a drop-off.
Friday,
December 12 from 5:30 - 9 p.m. is Teaching Leadership 2. Step up to
lead activities at the Twilight Girl Scouts: A Swiftie Celebration
that your leadership cohort planned. Safetywise Adults are needed to
supervise the cohort on this night.
This is the last step to
earn the Junior Aide award. Select the Junior Aide Award pin
merchandise add-on at check out to purchase your pin and receive it at
the end of the night. Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors will receive
resources on how to complete the remaining steps of the Teaching
Leadership Awards.

December 6: This is a DROP OFF event. Please plan on checking in your registered Girl Scout with required paperwork submitted at check in.
December 12: This is a DROP OFF event, however, we require a certain number of safety-wise adults in order for the event to happen. Please plan to drop off your registered Girl Scout with required paperwork submitted at check in. If you can volunteer, please register into one of the adult spots. If enough adults are not registered by the registration close date, this event may need to be cancelled. All adults registering to volunteer at the event are required to be a registered Girl Scout adult member, have a current/eligible criminal background check (CBC), and have completed GSCTX youth protection training.
Badge/patch: Juniors can purchase the Junior Adie Award during registration.
Required paperwork: Please complete the following sections of the Council Event Health and Permission Forms, print, and bring with you to the event: Sections A and B.
