This hands-on workshop allows you to explore the skeletal system
through the eyes of Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kelly Cline. Suit up like
a surgeon, before dissecting a chicken wing, for a first-hand look at
the muscles and tendons that help the wing move. You'll then compare a
chicken wing's function to human arm and hand movements. Before you
leave, look at some cool bones of cows, horses and raccoons, and
compare them to Dr. Cline's scary travelling friend...Skelly the human
skeleton.
This is a great event to experience biology and topics
in the medical field!
Participants will be working with raw
chicken. Gloves, surgical caps and booties will be provided.
