Join scientists from the Biology Department of Texas State University
for a hands-on introduction to Marine Science. Girl Scouts will
interact with scientists, tour the lab and campus, and learn about
coral reefs through cool hands-on activities!
Girl Scouts should
plan to bring their own lunch and wear comfortable closed-toed shoes
to this event.
This program fulfills partial requirements of the
STEM career badge.
Location: Texas State University Biology Department, San Marcos
Supervision Level: This is a DROP OFF event, however, we require a certain number of safety-wise adults in order for the event to happen. Please plan to drop off your registered Girl Scout with required paperwork submitted at check in. If you can volunteer, please register into one of the adult spots. If enough adults are not registered by the registration close date, this event may need to be cancelled. All adults registering to volunteer at the event are required to be a registered Girl Scout adult member, have a current/eligible criminal background check (CBC), and have completed GSCTX youth protection training.
