Out at Camp Texlake on September 24-26th. You will be able to Discover new workshops like Letterboxing, Connect with new and old friends, and Take Action by bringing ideas back to your troop. Register today and follow the signs to a great Girl Scout adventure!

Registration and Fee Information
Register for the 2010 Trailblazer event.
Full Weekend Fee
The $55 basic fee includes:
- Four meals (Saturday–Sunday), two refreshment breaks, and lodging
- 2010 Trailblazers T-shirt and patch
- Event supplies and expenses.
Friday Dinner Option
A Friday night dinner option is available for $5, or you can bring your own!
Saturday Only Option
This year we're offering a “Saturday Only” option for the fee of $30. This includes:
- Saturday lunch
- 2010 Trailblazers T-shirt and patch
- Event supplies and expenses

Workshop #1 – 9 to 10:15 a.m.
Slouch on the Couch Lounge – Want to just relax instead of taking a workshop? You don’t have to be a Star Bellied Sneetch to hang out in the dining hall, kick back, and enjoy the free time.
SU Cookie Manager Training – One Cookie, Two Cookie…Thin Mints and New Cookies! Everything you need to know to run your Service Units Cookie Program! (continues through workshop #2)
Leadership Essentials: “If I Ran a Troop…” – Take advantage of your time at Trailblazers to get one of the required trainings for all new leaders and those moving to a new grade level. Come learn the essentials every leader needs to be successful. (continues through workshop #2)
Dancing: Wiggle, Jump, Giggle, and Bump – Hip hop? Line Dance? Folk Dance? Which shall it be? Come take this class to find out and see! Get up and move to the music while learning a fun dance routine!
Linking Social Media Tools to Take Action! – What is Facebook? Who is Twitter? Learn ways to teach girls safety while using the internet as a tool for Take Action Projects!
Would you, Could you in a Box Oven? -- Want to work a box oven and you don't know how? Recycle a box into cooking equipment and learn to use it.
Letterboxing – Combine navigational skills and rubber stamp artistry in this "treasure hunt" quest.
Get Your Skit Together - Learn some new skits and perform them. A highlight of Trailblazers!
Canoes - Learn about PFD's, how to board and basic strokes. (continues through workshop #2)

Camp Texlake Service Project – Help give back to Camp Texlake by working on some handy man/woman, fixer up projects to help keep camp running smoothly!

SWAPS - Have fun making several different SWAPS to take back to your troop and get ideas for more.
T-shirt Art – Tired of the same old shirt? Come jazz up a t-shirt into something even the Grinch would envy.
Would you, Could you in a Dutch Oven? -- Don’t be a nook! Come learn to cook…in a Dutch oven and learn how to care for cast iron cookware.
One Bird, Two Bird, Red Bird, Blue Bird - Learn the names of birds native to our area, and how to spot them and their call.
Songs & Games – Songs, and other fun activities to do after all the kapers are done.

Retention Tools for Teens - As girls get older the focus is on shifting leadership to them. This workshop will help you realize the importance of letting girls make decisions and how to keep them involved.
Geocaching - Discover Geocaching while learning to use a GPS (Global Positioning System).
Ukrainian Egg Decorating - Learn the traditional Ukrainian method of decorating eggs in this hands-on workshop. (Continues through workshop #4)
Resource Center for Daisies-Brownies – Find out what program kits the Resource Center has to offer.
Maps & Compass – Learn how to use a compass, Find your pace and explore Camp Texlake.
T-shirt Quilts – Shirts galore? Quilts and more.. can be made from those Girl Scout shirts in your closet!
Dashboard/Solar Cooking - Can't stand the heat in the kitchen? Then get out in the sunshine and learn about solar cooking.
Water Aerobics – One, two, three…come swim like me and find a new way to exercise with low impact!

Scouts’ Own – A great Girl Scout tradition! Come learn about what a Scouts’ Own Ceremony is all about and help prepare for the closing Scout’s Own after Flag Ceremony.
Biking – Take a self-guided tour of Texlake. Bring your own bike and helmet and enjoy a peaceful morning ride exploring camp.
Morning Walk with Bill - Greet the morning with an invigorating nature walk.
