Girl Scout Camps

Girl Scouts of Central Texas offers girls exciting, summer resident and day camps, and year-round camp activities like horseback riding! Camp is a great place to have fun, meet new friends, learn new skills, and prepare for the challenges of every day life.

Camp sessions are now being filled on a first come, first served basis. Check our event calendar for current resident camp availability and day camp availability.

Resident camps

  • Camp Kachina—345 acres on Lake Belton. Features include: water activities, a horse corral (horses only housed during summer), and archery range.
  • Camp Texlake—455 acres on Lake Travis. Features include: water activities, an equestrian arena, nature center, ropes course and pool.
  • Camp Wood Lake—49 acres on Lake Brownwood. Features include: water activities like canoeing, sailing, and paddle boating.
Primitive camps:Happy Camper
  • Camp Dixie Allison—104 acres in Menard, TX. Excellent for first-time, primitive campers and adult outdoor training.
  • Camp Howdy—60 acres in Bryan, TX. Suitable for primitive camping and day hikes.
  • Camp Happy Hollow—62 acres between Burton and Brenham, TX. Perfect for primitive camping. Features include: a lodge with kitchen and restrooms, a bath house with showers, a pavilion, amphitheater, 19 campsites with drinking water and electricity, and a senior hut with bunks. Happy Hollow is not owned by GSCTX but is available for Girl Scout use.
