With your talents, skills, and contributions, you can help girls develop the courage, confidence and character they need to succeed in life and make the world a better place. By volunteering, you'll acquire new skills, gain professional development experience, have fun, and give back to your community. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities so you can tailor your participation.

Basic Qualifications

  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a flexible attitude and sense of humor
  • Register as an adult member and pay annual membership dues of $12. Dues are paid to the national organization to pay for accident insurance covering participation in approved Girl Scout activities, program research and resources, training and services to councils.   • Have a Volunteer Application with two references on file
  • Believe in and uphold the Girl Scout Law and Promise 
  • Be a positive role model for tomorrow’s leaders

Training

Developing girls into future leaders is not an easy task. A responsibility of this magnitude requires not only volunteers who are committed to Girl Scouting, but who are also skilled in performing their important jobs. We provide the training courses and resources you need to successfully perform your position.
