Ready to climb to new heights? Spend an evening with Austin
Bouldering Project. Come learn about basic climbing technique and put
your new skills to the test by climbing in different areas of the
gym.
This program is perfect for troops or individual Girl
Scouts.
Instructors will cater to the skill level of the group.
Austin Bouldering Project will provide instructors and all equipment,
including rental shoes.
This is not a drop-off event. The
sessions require a safety-wise adult-to-child ratio of 1:3. If an
adult wants to climb, they are welcome to pay onsite so long as the
safety ratio is maintained. Groups not meeting this ratio will not be
allowed to climb.

Special Instructions: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to remain with their Girl Scouts. As required by Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints, adults attending this event are responsible for their troop or individual Girl Scout's behavior. During non drop off Girl Scout events, adults attending the event are responsible for the safety and well-being of the youth that are in their care during the event. Do not leave your Girl Scouts in the care of other adults at the event that are not part of your troop or directly related to the child.
All adults participating with a troop or registered to volunteer at the event are required to have a current/eligible background check (CBC) and to be a registered Girl Scout adult volunteer. The easiest way to obtain a CBC is to add the "troop friends and family" role to your membership. It is highly recommended but not required that caregivers attending with their Girl Scout(s) be a registered GSCTX member and have a CBC on file.
Badge/Patch: Fun patch will be given out at the event.
