GSCTX Event Cancellation Policy

Events with registration through Girl Scouts of Central Texas (registration made through MyGS)

Event registrations are linked to the event and the name of the participant. Unless otherwise stated on the event, the following cancellation policy is standard for GSCTX events.

Individual registrations (those created and paid for by caregivers for themselves or members of their household) are non-transferable. All cancellation requests for events costing less than $50 are subject to a $5 cancellation fee. All cancellation requests for events costing $50 or more are subject to a 20% cancellation fee, unless otherwise stated on the event page. If an event requires a deposit (for example, council trips), this deposit is non-refundable.

We appreciate two weeks' notice in writing for any cancellation of a free event so we can make the spot available to other Girl Scouts wishing to attend.

To notify us of a cancellation and/or request a refund, please contact us with the subject line “event cancellation.” You will receive an email once the refund and cancellation have been processed. We are unable to honor any requests for refunds made less than two weeks prior to the event date.

Troop registrations (those created by the troop leader and paid using troop funds) are transferable to other troop members for the same event. The new participant must be a member of the same troop with an active membership status. The new participant must be the same participant type (youth or adult) as the original registrant. Transfer requests must be received at least two weeks prior to the event date.

Cancellations of troop registrations (for the full troop or for individual registrants) must be received at least two weeks prior to the event date to be eligible for a refund. All cancellation requests for events costing less than $50 are subject to a $5 cancellation fee. All cancellation requests for events costing $50 or more are subject to a 20% cancellation fee, unless otherwise stated on the event page. Events with registration through third-party sites or collaborators

If registration was processed, or tickets purchased, through a third-party site, please refer to that organization or business for their cancellation and transfer policy. Requests should be made directly to the issueing organization or business using the conact information provided in the event description.
