All service team members - new, experienced, and potential team members are invited to attend the Girl Scouts of Central Texas Service Team Conference. The service team is comprised of the volunteers that "run" the service unit and deliver Girl Scouting to girls in a specific geographic area - the service unit.

Workshop Selection
Once you register, you will be able to select your workshop preferences. Select the workshop for the Service Team position(s) you hold and then fill in the remainder of the schduled with other workshops that interest you. Please allow for a lunch break during workshop sessions 2, 3, or 4. In order to increase the chances of getting a workshop that interests you - please make a first and second choice for each workshop session. Please note that all workshops have limited space.
Workshop #1 – 11a.m. to 12 p.m.
Service Unit Director Training - New SUDs will acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitude for this ever-so-important position. (continues through workshop #2)
Troop Consultants - New troop leaders need someone to learn from, someone to lean on. Learn the skills that will make them feel comfortable in their role as a leader.
Fall Product Service Unit Manager Training - This training is for Service Unit Managers only. The service unit managers will train the troop fall product coordinators. Please check with your service unit for the scheduled date.
Getting to know the Journeys - Discover what the Journeys have to offer, Connect that knowledge to your plan for next year and Take Action by going on a Journey with your troop!
GSCTX Board Meeting - The meeting is for currently elected members of the GSCTX Board of Directors. (continues through workshop #2)
Edge Facilitator Training - Become part of the team of tech-savvy volunteers who can facilitate workshops and events for the EDGE and EDGE eXpress. You will be trained to present Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programs. (continues through workshop #2)
Girl Scout Silver Award Consultant Training - This workshop will certify a member of your SU or area to oversee the GS Silver Award process. It covers everything from paperwork to projects. (continues through workshop #2)
Scrap-booking - Tips on how to preserve your Service Unit’s activities. Bring photos to create your own scrapbook page.
Service Unit Camp-Out Coordinators - Get insider tips on how to plan and run a successful service unit campout at GSCTX Camp facilities!
Going Green with Crafts - Trying to run an event on a budget? Learn how to recycle someone else’s trash into your own treasure.
Coordinator of Area Trainings - CANCELED Are you interested in making sure the leaders in your area get the training they need? Do you want to help set the training calendar? Interested in helping to design the curriculum? This workshop will prepare you to do just that!
Girl Scout Leadership Experience - Expand your knowledge about the GLSE by attending this informational workshop.
What is a Take Action Project? - What is the difference between a Take Action Project and a Service Project? How do we teach girls the difference? Come explore the components of Take Action and how it fits into everything we do with girls.

Troop Organizer - This volunteer supports the whole service unit and is crucial in placing girls in troops and forming new troops so that every girl can be a Girl Scout.
School Organizer - This volunteer is essential to placing girls from a particular school in troops and forming new troops so that every girl can be a Girl Scout
Day Camp Director Training - CANCELED Includes safety, inspections, scheduling and staffing. Required for each service unit holding camps of four days or more. (participants must take Event Director training during session 3)

Girl Scout Pathways Panel Discussion - Do you know what the Pathways are? Do you have questions about pathways? SWAPS 101 - Have fun while making several SWAPS to take back to your troop or Service Unit and get ideas for more.
