Discover the magic of a starlit hike, when even the most familiar
trails reveal sights and sounds only shared with the cool, quiet
night. As we travel along this mellow hike, we'll stop for a guided
exploration of the constellations above.
This hike is perfect
for star lovers with a little bit of hiking experience, as you'll need
to feel comfortable walking on uneven terrain after dark. You bring
the hiking boots, we'll bring the headlamps. Participants should be
prepared to cover 3 miles of distance over easy uneven terrain.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early. Come prepared with personal snacks
and water. Bring a headlamp if you have one. Wear closed-toe shoes.
REI will provide a group first aid kit.
REI rates this class as
"relaxed" - outdoor learning at its most relaxed with
minimal prerequisite fitness.
