The Girl Scouts of Walnut Creek Service Unit are proud to announce our 20th Annual "Pink Beads of Love" bracelet project, in partnership with the 2025 Komen Austin MORE THAN PINK Walk and the Breast Cancer Resource Center. This event is open to Girl Scouts of all ages, friends, and family!
Participants make bracelets and write notes to breast cancer patients and survivors. This is also an opportunity to learn more about breast cancern prevention.
Why Pink Beads of Love?
Juliette Gordon Low, who founded the Girl Scout movement in the United States, died of breast cancer on January 17, 1927. To honor her memory and to pay tribute to today's breast cancer patients and survivors, attendees will assemble beaded bracelets which will be handed out at the October 26th, 2025, Komen Austin MORE THAN PINK Walk and any leftovers will go to the Breast Cancer Resource Center.
Breast cancer patients and survivors are thrilled to receive the bracelet and inspiring personal note from the girl who made it! Our goal is to assemble a minimum of 200 bracelets this year.
