Girl Scouts of Central Texas and University of Texas's "Hot Science - Cool Talks" are working together to pre-register 30 Girl Scouts and adults for each "Hot Science" event. "Hot Science - Cool Talks" brings leading science, technology, engineering, and math professionals and their research to the community!
Dogs have an astounding ability to read our gestures and understand our words, often seeming to know exactly what we're thinking. But exactly how smart is man's best friend? Don't miss The Genius of Dogs.

7:00-8:15 PM Talk
8:15-9:00 PM Book Signing
Additional tickets for this event will open three weeks in advance of the event directly on the "Hot Science, Cool Talks" website: https://www.esi.utexas.edu/community-engagement/hot-science-cool-talks/

Location: University of Texas at Austin, Austin

Special instructions: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to REGISTER and remain with their Girl Scouts. As required by Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints, adults attending this event are responsible for their troop or individual Girl Scout's behavior. All adults participating with a troop or registered to volunteer at the event are required to have a current/eligible background check (CBC), to be a registered Girl Scout adult volunteer, and to have complete GSCTX youth protection training.

Badge/Patch: This event will meet some requirements of the STEM Career Badge. Badges will need to be completed and purchased from the Girl Scout shop.
