COME SAIL WITH US! This weekend event is open to new sailors who have not attended an event before, as well as those who have attended a Mariner event in the past (in person or online). On Saturday Sailors will learn new skills and practice land and water drills. On Sunday they will get up early and get out on the water for a fun day of putting into practice what they learned the day before.

Sailors will learn or review basics of sailing, including parts of the boat; rigging and unrigging; and right of way. Sailors will get to practice departing from land, steering and turning the boat, and returning to shore safely. It will be a weekend of fun on land and on the water with drills and games at Camp Kachina on Lake Belton. Even if you have sailed with us before this is a great chance to brush up on skills and get some good practice time on the water! Introduction to Sailing or Ground School is required of all new sailors.

Location: Camp Kachina, Belton
