Comics & Cosplay (C/S/A) 4/1/23
Spend the morning inside one of the oldest comic book stores in Texas
while earning your Comic Artist and Textile Artist badges! Girls will
learn about the art of comic books while creating their own book and
Cadettes will focus on the art of the comic books as they work to create their own Comic Book story and character. Seniors will focus on bringing characters to life through cosplay and work to create their own cosplay look and character. Ambassadors will learn about both and choose which are to focus on to create their own comic book character on page and fabric.
Location: Bankston's Comics & Collectibles, Waco
Special Instructions: This is a DROP OFF event. Please plan to drop off your registered Girl Scout with drop off forms submitted at check in. Please fill out the Drop-Off & Release Form and bring it with you. This form can be found in the My Events section of your myGS account by clicking on the event and scrolling to the Additional Documentation section.
We require a certain number of safety-wise adults in order for the event to happen. If you are able to volunteer, please register into one of the adult spots. If enough adults are not registered by the registration closed date, this event may need to be cancelled. GSCTX requires any adult participating with a troop or attending an event as a Girl Scout adult volunteer to have a current year Girl Scout membership and a current/eligible criminal background check (CBC).
Badge/Patch: Cadette Comic Artist badge, Senior Textile Artist badge and Ambassador fun patch will be given out at the event.
