The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts has the largest collection of Contemporary American Ceramics in the United States, possibly the world. Join SAMFA’s Education Team to explore the art of clay in the galleries learning about the history of clay and how it has changed over time. Have fun with gallery games that encourage critical thinking and then get your hands messy in the studio with hands-on clay projects.

Location: San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, San Angelo

Special Instructions: This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to remain with their Girl Scouts. As required by Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints, adults attending this event are responsible for their troop or individual Girl Scout’s behavior. During non-drop off Girl Scout events, adults attending the event are responsible for the safety and well-being of the girls that are in their care during the event. Do not leave your Girl Scouts in the care of other adults at the event that are not part of your group or directly related to the child. Parents or caregivers of individual Girl Scouts that are attending non-drop off events are strongly encouraged to have an eligible, unexpired Criminal Background Check (CBC) on file with Girl Scouts of Central Texas. The easiest way to accomplish this is to add the "Troop Friends and Family" role to their membership.

Additional COVID information and mask guidelines can be found on the COVID-19 Updates page.

Badge/Patch: Brownie Potter badges (for Brownies) and fun patches (for all) will be given out at the event.
