2019 Summer Camp Guide


The 2019 Summer Camp Guide  has all of the information that you need to plan a great summer camp experience. If you have a question and don't remember what page to look on, select a category below. Remember that the camp guide is searchable from the Table of Contents. This camp guide may not contain recently added camps.

Please read the Summer Camp Guide AND the "Read This Before Registration" section below prior to registering to make the process go smoothly.


 Register for Summer Camp

Ready to Register? Select the desired category below. You will be presented with a list of camps that meet your criteria. Some camps may appear in more than one category.  We are using a system called  Doubleknot to manage registrations . DO NOT USE YOUR MYGS OR EBIZ LOGIN WHEN YOU REACH THE LOGIN SCREEN.

READ THIS BEFORE REGISTRATION!

We are using  "Doubleknot" for summer camp registration again this year. This system is NOT integrated with Volunteer Systems (MyGS) OR eBiz.  DO NOT USE YOUR EBIZ OR MyGS LOGIN. If you have used our Weekend Reservation system or registered for an event using Doubleknot, you already have a Doubleknot Login. Please use that login for Summer Camp registration.  

IF YOU ARE NEW TO DOUBLEKNOT, PLEASE SELECT "CREATE NEW USER PROFILE" when you reach that Login screen. You will be asked for your name, email address and to create a Password. Your email address will be your user id. If you like, you can set your password to be the same as what you use for MyGS (Volunteer Systems). That way it will easier for you to remember.

When adding registrants, PLEASE ADD YOUR DAUGHTER, NOT YOURSELF, AS THE REGISTRANT.

COOKIE DOUGH MAY NOT BE USED FOR CAMP DEPOSITS. COOKIE DOUGH CAN BE APPLIED AFTER A DEPOSIT HAS BEEN PAID.

Camp Fury (Bryan/College Station) NEW!!!

Camp Fury is a collaborative program that provides hands-on activities that promote the development of leadership skills, teamwork, respect, and self-confidence. At Camp Fury, girls will train alongside female firefighters to learn fire and rescue skills. They will meet women who are breaking down barriers and changing the stereotypes in this male-dominated career field.

Camp Kits/T-Shirts

Camp Kits are always fun for girls to have when they get to camp. Camp Kits and Camp T-Shirts can now be purchased when registering for your camp session.  If you registered prior to 1/26/19 and wanted a camp kit/T-shirt combo, or if you were undecided at that time but would like to now, you can do so by selecting the same Camp and Week of Camp below. This year we are offering the following Camp Kits: "Horsin' Around" Camp Kit, "Camp Memories" Camp Kit, Roxy Raccoon Plushie, and the 2019 "Camp Like a G.I.R. L T-Shirt/Patch Combo (see design above)

To receive your Camp Kit in time, we must receive your orders at least two (2) weeks prior to the first day of your camp session. All Camp Kit Order Forms will be processed within 72 business hours of being received.

Girl Scout Dough

If  your camper has Cookie Dough that they have earned from the Fall Product or Cookie seasons and would like to use it to help pay for your camp session, please complete the: GS Dough Form.

Once completed, it will be automatically sent to our Activities Registrar for processing. We will send you a receipt after it has been applied.

Camp Waitlists

If your child is on a Summer Camp Wait List and gets moved into the camp, you must pay the $75 deposit immediately in order to hold on to the spot.

Please do not register for more than TWO waitlisted camps as it reduces the chances of other girls getting in to a camp that your daughter may no longer wish to attend.

How to Register for Camp

ONLINE Registration  (Recommended) 

Online registration is the best and quickest way to register for summer camp. To register online, simply select the desired camp in the Register for Summer Camp section above. A Payment Plan is available when utilizing Online Reigstration. Doubleknot is MOBILE FRIENDLY!  DO NOT USE YOUR EBIZ OR MyGS LOGIN (see below)

When registering online you may:

  • Pay a $75 deposit to hold your camp space. This year the Payment Plan will include the initial deposit, and then two more payments. The second payment will be due 45 days prior to  camp start date. The balance will be due 21 days prior to the camp start date. If you miss a payment deadline, you will receive email reminders until you make payment. Registering by early April is recommended.
  • You may Pay in Full at any time, or pay an Other Amount that is larger than the amount currently owed as per the payment schedule.

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A DOUBLEKNOT LOGIN FOR OUR WEEKEND RESERVATION SYSTEM, PLEASE USE THAT LOGIN FOR YOUR RESIDENT CAMP REGISTRATION.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A DOUBLEKNOT LOGIN, you will be able to create one at the start of registration. Simply select "Create New User Profile" and enter your first and last name, email address, and a password of your choosing. It's that simple! TIP: For NEW users, Doubleknot uses your email address as your User ID. If you create your Doubleknot password to be the same as the one you use for MyGS (Volunteer Systems), it will be one less new login to remember.

PAPER Registration

If you are unable to register online or prefer paper registration, please complete the  Resident Camp Registration Form and send it along with payment (either pay in full or pay a $75 deposit to hold the space) to our Camps Registrar at:

Final payment for your camp registration must be received 21 days prior to the first day of the camper's registered session to hold the camper's space at summer camp. 

Please allow 5–7 business days for the camp registration to be processed. Once the camp registration has been processed you will be emailed a confirmation email with further instructions of payment and other camp necessities.

Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance

If you need financial assistance for your camper to attend camp, we are happy to help. Please complete the Financial Partnership Form and send to customercare@gsctx.org to start the process.

Financial Partnership Forms should be completed at least 4 weeks in advance of the camper's camp session.

Cancellation & Refund Requests

GSCTX Camps must receive a written request for cancellation and refund no later than two (2) weeks prior to your camp start date in order to receive partial refund.

  • A $75 cancellation fee is applied to all cancelled camp sessions.
  • Any cancellations received after two (2) weeks prior to the camp session start date will not receive any refund of payment(s).
  • Campers who cancel due to medical reasons (council must receive signed doctor’s note and written cancellation request) less than two (2) weeks prior to camp session start date may receive partial refund.
Transfer Requests

All Camp session transfers must be received by written request at least two (2) weeks prior to the camp session start date. Transfer requests will only be completed if capacity allows.

Official Cancellation/Camp Closing

Parents/guardians are notified by phone if camp is officially closed due to severe weather conditions, emergency repairs, etc. (may be on a last minute basis). An alternate date may be offered or full fee refunded.

NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED IF CAMP IS NOT OFFICIALLY CLOSED AND A PARTICIPANT CHOOSES TO NOT PARTICIPATE FOR ANY REASON.

All camp forms MUST BE COMPLETED AND BROUGHT TO CAMP TO BE COLLECTED AT CHECK-IN. DO NOT MAIL THEM TO US. This includes health forms and waivers. Additional staff will be available during camp check-in to help the process.
