Ways We Serve Girls

When you think Girl Scouts, you might think cookies, campfires and friendship bracelets. And sure, those things are all part of this exciting, life-altering journey, but there’s so much more to it!

Girl Scouts are big thinkers, groundbreakers, and role models. They design robots, scuba dive, and improve their communities—and yes, they sell the best cookies on the planet.

The passion for all these things starts within a girl, and Girl Scouts of Central Texas is finding unique ways to support success for every girl, everywhere.

  • Group of girls inside of a tent with their heads sticking out
  • Troops

Organized by a volunteer troop leader, Girl Scouts will work together to decide what to do and create a plan to take action.

  • Juliette Girl Scouts

If participating in a troop doesn't fit with your girl's schedule, she can choose to Girl Scout in her own way. As a Juliette, she decides what activities to participate in and which earned awards to complete, with the guidance of an adult.

  • Two teenage girls standing at the top of a snowy mountain overlook, looking back at camera
  • Specialty Troops

Experienced Girl Scouts often find an activity they love. To allow more time and expertise in this area, our council offers specialty troops dedicated to unique activities, including outdoor adventures, water sports, and STEM learning.

  • Community Troops

Delivered in partnership with schools or government facilities and programs, community troops reach girls who are unable to participate in traditional troops due to the geographic, socioeconomic, and emotional challenges they face each day.

  • Two young girls and an adult tinkering with robotics pieces
  • Mobile STEM Center

Expert-led programming will come directly to troops in the Concho Valley and deliver hands-on STEM education. No experience required for Troop Leaders!

  • Girl Scouts & Faith

Everything in Girl Scouting is based on the Girl Scout Promise and Law, which includes many of the principles held across many faiths.

  • Girl Scouts for All

Girl Scouts provides troops with resources for girls with differing abilities so they can confidently welcome all girls into their troops.
