Ways We Serve Girls

Being your best self can look however you want. As a Girl Scout, you can discover your personal power and build skills to turn power into a lifetime of meaning, service, and leadership.

Ready to choose your own path? Explore the ways you can lead adventures, take action in your community, and be anything you want.

  • Group of girls inside of a tent with their heads sticking out
  • Teenage girl taking photo outdoors, wearing backpack and outdoors gear
  • Volunteer-led Troop

Organized by a volunteer troop leader, you and your troop will work together to decide what to do, create a plan, and take action in the community.

  • Independently Registered Girl

Be a Girl Scout in your own way. You decide what activities to participate in and which earned awards to complete, with the guidance of an adult.

  • Community Programs

Delivered in partnership with schools and a variety of community partners, Community Programs aim to serve all girls regardless of their circumstances, bringing programming directly to the places girls already are.

  • Two young girls sitting in front of lockers with a teacher, smiling and looking through a textbook
  • Mobile STEM Center

Girl Scouts and troops can get expert-led programming delivered with no experience required for troop leaders! Girl Scouts will earn badges by completing hands-on STEM experiments.

  • Two young girls and an adult tinkering with robotics pieces
  • Girl Scouts and Faith

Everything in Girl Scouting is based on the Girl Scout Promise and Law, which includes many of the principles held across many faiths. So while we are a secular organization, Girl Scouts has always encouraged girls to take spiritual journeys via their faiths' religious recognitions.
