Girl Scouting at Home

When girls take the lead, great things happen! Even though your girl’s daily routine may have changed, there are many ways she can still participate in Girl Scout activities and earn awards, even at home. Here are a few resources and ideas for Girl Scouts of all levels to help you get started.

Trefoil TV
Daily Girl Scout Videos

Girl Scout as a family! Each day on our Facebook page, you can look forward to short clips of Girl Scout history, singing along to camp songs, or other ways we’re Girl Scouting at Home. Every video will highlight something new and spark conversation about your girl’s favorite activities in Girl Scouts. We can’t wait to see you there!

Community Impact
Neighborhood Clean-Up

Girl Scouts across Central Texas are uniting from their own neighborhoods to clean up and take care of the outdoors.

While social distancing and keeping 6 feet from neighbors, girls can safely take walks through their neighborhood to pick up trash.

The entire family is welcome to join the fun, taking pictures of your impact on the community. Once your girl is done, dispose of the trash properly and then tell us about your adventure!

Weekly Challenge

Are you ready for the next challenge? Each Monday, we will post a new exciting and hands-on activity for your girl to lead at home.

March 23-29 Challenge:  Texas Plant Bingo

Once your girl has completed the challenge, let us know! We want to hear about the awesome time you had together and what she accomplished.

Badges, Patches, and More
Girl Scouts of Central Texas Patches

Girl Scouts of Central Texas offers additional badges, patches, and activities beyond those listed in the program-level handbooks. Every Girl Scout grade level has a patch curriculum that can be accomplished, many of which can be done right at home. Unless listed otherwise, programs are for Girl Scouts of all ages.

National Girl Scout Resources

Girl Scouts at Home
Stay connected to Girl Scouts across the nation and around the world.

Bring the exploration, fun, and learning of Girl Scouts to your family even when circumstances are keeping Girl Scouts from meeting up in person. After all, Girl Scouts isn’t somewhere girls go or something they do—it’s who they are day in, day out. Use these self-guided, free activities to keep your girl, your troop, and your community connected.

Global Action Award

Girl Scouts are called to address global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by discovering, connecting, and taking action in their communities and beyond. In 2020, girls will explore SDG 5 (Gender Equality) to earn their Global Action award.

Complete the award through GSUSA.

Silver and Gold Awards

Girls who are pursuing higher awards my continue to do so by taking advantage of the online workshops. These are mandatory workshops available through the Silver Award and Gold Award resource pages. Girls must complete the workshops before beginning her project.
