Master Property Plan logo

In 2014, GSCTX adopted a three-phase Master Property Plan (MPP). What does this mean? The goal of the MPP is to enhance the quality, diversity, and accessibility of the Girl Scouts Leadership Experience while confronting the critical need for repear and renewal of agency properties. MPP started as a three phase plan; however, MPP has expanded to five phases in order to complete the needed improvements.

Camp Updates

Camp Howdy

Camp Howdy Celebrates 60 Years!

Camp Howdy recently celebrated its 60 year anniversary and MPP fundraising goal of $60k. Congratulations! The Camp Howdy site team is excited to improve the camp, beginning with the Aktoo area and a maintenance barn.

Camp Kachina

Camp Kachina Has a New Pool Climbing Wall!

This past summer camp season, a second panel to the Kachina pool climbing wall was added. This means double the fun during pool time! GSCTX is very excited to have this awesome pool amenity for its campers.

In addition to the pool climbing wall, GSCTX completed the sale of ~30 acres of Camp Kachina. This is an important first step towards funding future improvements at Camp Kachina. As proceeds become available, GSCTX can add facilities and amenities to Camp Kachina to ensure an excellent outdoor, high adventure Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

Scout House Updates

Marble Falls Scout House

Marble Falls Scout House Has A New Deck!

The Marble Falls Scout House was a project in MPP Phase 1. Located in Johnson Park, the scout house is a great example of collaboration between the Wildflower Trails Service Unit; the city, community, and businesses of Marble Falls; and GSCTX. The Marble Falls Scout House needed repairs and updates to create a safe and ADA compliant meeting space. Recently, the Marble Falls Scout House had a back deck installed. The deck will allow the troops to enjoy the outdoor area in the park.
