Summer Camp Registration

Do you love being outside, making new friends, and having fun? You’ve come to the right place! On this page you will find our Summer Camp Guide to help you decide where to go and what to do at a Girl Scout camp near you this summer!

2018 Summer Camp Registration will be available January 2018

Come to summer camp, sing songs around the campfire, enjoy the exciting activities found in the outdoors, and learn some fun experiences with the counselors everyone falls in love with.

Each of our camps provides a unique experience and come with their own excellent activities you will love and enjoy. Camps Kachina, Texlake, Brownwood, and our day camps at Howdy and Zilker may be just what you are looking for this coming summer.

How to Register for Camp
ONLINE Registration  (Recommended) 
Registration for Summer Camp will open on Tuesday, January 3, 2018.

Our online registration is the best and quickest way to register your Girl Scout for camp. When registering online you may either:

  • pay in full for a guaranteed space for your camper; or
  • pay a $75 deposit to hold your camp space (final payment must be received 21 days prior to the first day of the camper's session to not be cancelled).
  • Registrations created after the Last Payment Due Date for that camp session will be subject to a $5 Late Fee. So be sure to register as early as you can.
  • This year we have a better Payment Plan. After the initial deposit, there will be (3) additional payments to be made. The first of these payments will be due in early April. The subsequent payments will occur monthly. If you register after the first payment is due, you will be asked to pay both the Deposit AND that First payment. Registering by early April is recommended.

This year we will be using DOUBLEKNOT for Resident Camp registration. We have been using Doubleknot for our Weekend Camp Reservations since last April and have found the system to be very user friendly.

If you already have a Doubleknot Login, please use that login for your resident camp registration.

If you do NOT have a Doubleknot login, you will be able to create one at the start of registration. Simply select "Create New User Profile" and enter your first and last name, email address, and a password of your choosing. It's that simple!

PAPER Registration

If you are unable to register online or prefer paper registration, please complete the  Resident Camp Registration Form and send it along with payment (either pay in full or pay a $75 deposit to hold the space) to our Camps Registrar at:

Final payment for your camp registration must be received 21 days prior to the first day of the camper's registered session to hold the camper's space at summer camp. Failure to pay the balance by that date will be subject to a $5 Late Fee.

Please allow 5–7 business days for the camp registration to be processed. Once the camp registration has been processed you will be emailed a confirmation email with further instructions of payment and other camp necessities.

Financial Options
Financial Assistance

If you need financial assistance for your camper to attend camp, we are happy to help. Please complete the Financial Partnership Form and send to to start the process.

Financial Partnership Forms should be completed at least 4 weeks in advance of the camper's camp session.

Cookie Dough

If your camper has Cookie Dough that they have earned from the cookie season and would like to use it to help pay for your camp session, please complete the Summer Camp Cookie Dough Form. Once complete, please email the form to the Camps Registrar or mail to:

Cancellation & Refund Requests

GSCTX Camps must receive a written request for cancellation and refund no later than two (2) weeks prior to your camp start date in order to receive partial refund.

  • A $75 cancellation fee is applied to all cancelled camp sessions.
  • Any cancellations received after two (2) weeks prior to the camp session start date will not receive any refund of payment(s).
  • Campers who cancel due to medical reasons (council must receive signed doctor’s note and written cancellation request) less than two (2) weeks prior to camp session start date may receive partial refund.
Transfer Requests

All Camp session transfers must be received by written request at least two (2) weeks prior to the camp session start date. Transfer requests will only be completed if capacity allows.

Official Cancellation/Camp Closing

Parents/guardians are notified by phone if camp is officially closed due to severe weather conditions, emergency repairs, etc. (may be on a last minute basis). An alternate date may be offered or full fee refunded.


Camp Forms

Once registered for a camp session, you will receive a confirmation email that will have a link to the Health Form packet. This is a fillable PDF document that you can fill out, print, and bring with you to checkin. All camp forms MUST BE completed and brought to camp to be collected at Check-In. This includes health forms and waivers. Additional staff will be available during camp check-in to help the process.

Camp Kits

Camp Kits are always fun for girls to have once they get to camp and they are back for another year at our summer resident camps. You may purchase one of these wonderful camp kits while registering for your camp session; however, if you miss this opportunity you can always complete the Camp Kit and TShirt Order Form and email it to our Camps Registrar, or mail to:

To receive your Camp Kit in time, we must receive your orders at least two (2) weeks prior to the first day of your camp session. All Camp Kit Order Forms will be processed within 72 business hours of being received.

Leadership Programs (GSCLA)

Our Leadership Programs offer Girl Scout members the opportunity to improve their leadership qualities while also serving fellow Girl Scouts at our camps. Experience the outdoors while providing a motivational and mature mentor for younger girls attending our summer camp programs.

Leadership Programs require registration in a leadership camp session and active membership in Girl Scouts. Once registration is submitted and deposit is paid, girls will receive further instructions on how to apply.
