Badges and Patches
What’s that? You’ve always wanted to…
Make your own movie, cook food from a different country, go geocaching, sleep under the stars, write a book of short stories, plant a garden?
Invent something new, paint a masterpiece, star in a play, take amazing nature photographs, make your bedroom into a jungle, run a business, go on an adventure trip?
Become an awesome babysitter, sew yourself a dress, build a wooden bench, learn to play a musical instrument, or design a website?
Great news! You can learn to do all these things and earn Girl Scout badges as you go.
Want to earn a badge by learning something else entirely? We’ve got you covered with our Make Your Own badge option. Just figure out what you want to learn and who can help you, then go online to create a badge of your own design.

The Make Your Own badge program has come to a close. The design tool shut down June 1, 2017. You can no longer place an order. The site will close permanently on July 30, 2017.

Beyond GSUSA badges, what patches and badges are offered by your council? Learn more about GSCTX Council's Own Badges (below) and the Ongoing and Monthly Patch Program.
Council’s Own badges are national awards that provide unique, local opportunities that girls cannot experience anywhere else! As most of our girls know, Central Texas has a wide variety of awesome experiences that are exclusive to our region of the country. To take advantage of that, we offer girls new and exciting opportunities to learn and develop skills beyond the National Proficiency Badges.
Looking for a fun, active way to get Daisies interested in science, technology, engineering, and math? Our STEM badge – designed to fit right under their Daisy petals as an actual "stem" – will get our youngest Girl Scouts exploring the outside world, STEM activities in their community, and fun tech opportunities in our own council.
