Service Team Conference

All new, experienced, and potential service team members are invited to attend the Girl Scouts of Central Texas Service Team Conference. A service team is comprised of the volunteers that “run” the service unit and deliver Girl Scouting to girls in a specific geographic area.

Service Unit Event Director Training

This training will give you ideas to help develop and implement events in your service unit or area.

Day Camp Director Training & Program Workshop

Includes safety, inspections, scheduling, staffing and program ideas. This training is required for each service unit holding day camps or twilight camps that last three days or more. Prerequisite: Event Director Training

Service Unit Registrar Training

Required for all new Service Unit Registrars. Good refresher for returning registrars and service unit directors.

Fall Product Sale Training for Service Unit Managers

This training is for Service Unit Managers. The Service Unit Coordinators will train the Troop Fall Product Sale Coordinators. Please check with your service unit for the scheduled date.

Cookie College for Service Unit Cookie Managers

Attendance is mandatory for all Service Unit Cookie Managers. If your service unit does not have a manager appointed by the time this training takes place, the Service Unit Director must attend in his/her place. Service Unit Warehouse and Booth Managers are also strongly encouraged to attend.

Training of Council Trainers

Participants will become familiar with delivering, evaluating, planning and designing training courses. This training certifies you to conduct Basic Leadership, Program Age Level, and/or Overnight Consultant Course (OCC). Camp Consultant Course (CCC) trainers may also attend and then apprentice with experienced trainers as needed. Trainers are asked to conduct at least two trainings per year.
