Camping is an important part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Girls develop independence, resourcefulness and respect for themselves and others at camp. They learn trust, teamwork and their own strengths. However, every year there are more than 100 Central Texas Girl Scouts who rely on financial aid to make summer camp a reality. With your donation, the many requests for financial aid are being met, bringing a memorable camp experience to the next generation of women leaders.
Whether it's canoeing at Camp Wood Lake, horseback riding at Camp Texlake, or building a robot at EDGE Day Camp, Girl Scout camps build courage, confidence and character in girls. Girl Scout camp gives girls an opportunity to make deep friendships, often lasting throughout life.
