With 110 waterfront acres on Lake Belton, Camp Kachina encompasses 344 acres in Belton, TX. During the summer it hosts overnight camps, giving girls the opportunity to enjoy horseback riding, sailing, archery and more. Camp Kachina has great ecological diversity, offering the chance to experience the natural beauty of Texas. While Camp Kachina is primarily used for Girl Scout events and programs, it is available to outside user groups.
For girl safety, neither directions nor maps to camp are available to the general public. Directions with a map are only sent in event confirmation packs.

Call (512) 264-1044 or (877) 425-1150 or email the Camps Coordinator to check availability of dates and facilities. After a tentative reservation is made, a reservation packet will be mailed to you. Your deposit, facility fees, and any meal or activity fees are due at least 30 days prior to your campout. Activities are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis after your fees are received.
Program Areas
- Equestrian Center—for summer camp only horseback riding
- Archery course—covered with protective screen
- Sport Court—fenced in concrete court
- Campfire Circle—center of camp with designated campfire space and benches for seating
Dining Areas
The octagon shaped dining hall accommodates 150 guests. Kitchen facilities are not available.
Housing Areas
Camp Kachina offers a variety of housing facilities. The four lodges have air conditioning and are also suitable for winter camping. Twenty screened cabins and 1 platform tent are also available. All units have a open-air bathhouse and a fire circle.
